Some discs have a projecting loop or tab. Others have a notch. Look at the instructions and consider which design you would prefer to reach and use. A removal feature does not guarantee a mess-free experience.
A stated capacity is useful for comparison, but it cannot tell you how long a disc will last on your heaviest day. Follow the wear limit for your exact model and empty sooner if needed. Heavy periods affecting daily life are worth discussing with your GP.
